What is a CSA?
There is a reason that more and more insurance providers are offering rebates for eating healthy food. It makes us healthier! By joining a CSA, you are making a commitment towards a healthier lifestyle.
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you become a member of a CSA, you are forming a relationship with the people who raise your food, and in return they are committed to raising your food with sustainable and environmentally responsible practices. You also know that your food is grown locally and handled minimally, not shipped from across the country or even across the world!
As a member you are subscribing to a weekly box of vegetables, (or whatever your particular CSA offers), and agreeing to understand the risks and the multiple benefits that are inherent to farming. A growing season can bring an abundance of produce, but it can also create less than ideal conditions on occasions!
Some CSA’s offer opportunities for members to work on the farm in exchange for their share, but it is not usually required. For those who only want to have their weekly produce, there are drop-off sites arranged on a regular day for you to pick up your box.
CSA Member Responsibilities
As a CSA member, you share in the bounty as well as the potential risks that may occur on the farm. Being a member enables you to form a relationship with the farmer, the farm and the people who are involved with growing the crops. Becoming a member is a commitment. If you can’t finish the season as members, you are welcome to reassign your share to another family, but we cannot issue refunds.
If you are unable to pick up your box on delivery day, you must make alternate arrangements for your produce ahead of time. You can have someone else pick up your box, ask the farm not to make your box that week, or ask your site coordinator to hold the box for a later pick-up. If you forget to pick up your share, it will be donated to a food pantry or a neighborhood family.
Read the newsletters every week and any emails that we send out to you! This is how we communicate with you with announcements, recipes, events and special offers. Extra newsletters are always available on our blog.

Our Shares
Following are descriptions or our share options. For pricing, please visit the “Shop Online” page.
During a Wisconsin growing season, a season typically begins with lighter salad greens and spring vegetables. As the season progresses, your box will be brimming with colorful veggies like tomatoes, cucumbers, melons and squash. See our Produce Available page for a list of some of the veggies that we grow. Go to the “Shop Online” page for share details, pricing and sign-up.

Our shares are delivered for 20 weeks.
Our Standard Share size is approximately equivalent to a heaping bushel of produce. This size is typically enough for a family of 4 or for smaller families that love their veggies. You will have a great selection of standard vegetables as well as some that you may not have tried before!
Small Share. This share option provides a smaller quantity of veggies for a couple or lighter veggie eaters. Small shares may not always have the same variety of produce as the standard and large shares.
We also have a Large Share to our share sizes to accommodate larger families or those that like to do a little more preserving. The Large Size will be approximately 1 1/2 times the size of a Standard Share offering greater quantities of the weekly produce.
In the years to come, we plan to offer additional shares such as bread and egg shares.
